Having learned from my apartment, I am deeply connected to the cultural significance of hair braiding, a practice dating back thousands of years in Africa. I created Emmah’s Beauty Empire to be more than a salon it’s a welcoming and inclusive community space, a one stop shop. Emmah Camara, the proud founder of the vibrant Emmah’s Beauty Empire. I am originally from the beautiful West African country of Guinea. Emmah’s Beauty Empire originated from Emmah African Hair braiding. I started this thriving braiding salon with a deep love for the art of braiding and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I was driven by my passion for braiding and the determination to succeed.
Emmah’s Beauty Empire began humbly in my small Chicago apartment. It is a dream turned reality, blessed by Gods grace and my relentless pursuit of success. Our guiding principle is clear: every braid we create is made with joy. Do you provide hair?
Yes, we provide hair for most of the styles.

Do you take out braids?
Yes, depending on the size and style of the braids.
Do you do touchups?
Yes, we do touchups up to 6 weeks later after your appointment.
Do you wash and blow dry hair?
Yes, we wash and blow dry hair for an extra $20.
Where do we park?
We do have free Parking on promise
Do you do take out?
Yes, we do take out braids, crochet braids, sew ins, twists, etc.
Do you offer 100% human hair?
Yes, we offer human hair for extra charge.
What the difference between the bohemian braids, gypsy braids and bora braids.
The gypsy braids and the bora braids both have a lot of curly hair, but the difference is in the type of hair used:
For the gypsy braids, we use deep bulk curly human hair, while for the bora braids, we use wet and wavy human hair.
The bohemian braids also have a lot of curly hair, but not as much as the gypsy and bora braids.
Are bohemian braids human hair?
No, with bohemian braid only the curly pieces are 100% human hair. The braiding hair is regular, pre-stretch expression hair.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we have free wi-fi available.

Do you take appointment and walk-ins?
Yes, we take walk-ins and appointments
